Tatyana Stahler is the owner/founder of Focal Point: Pilates & Movement Studio. She has been teaching Pilates for almost a decade in the Bellingham community, mostly at WWU. Christine Engelfried (she/her) Instructor

Christine Engelfried began her love of dance at the age of 3. Graduating from Loyola Marymount University with a double major in dance and communication studies, her love of movement continues to inform her life through teaching, performing and processing life and the human experience. Christine enjoys creating a welcoming, supportive atmosphere for all participants; holding space for people to connect to their body, breath and mind and cultivate an inner sense of play, where they can dance, sweat & LIVE. She is a graduate of the summer dance program at the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, a certified GROOV3 instructor, and is a founding guide for KINRGY, a wellness platform created by Emmy® award winning dancer and artist Julianne Hough. She has had the honor of working as a dance educator and yoga instructor for various companies including KINRGY, Ompractice, Equinox, YogaWorks and GROOV3 and led movement experiences for Oprah's 20/20 Vision Tour, Global Citizen, Tony Robbins, Gwyneth Paltrow's goop, and Dannon's Light and Fit series.

Christine initially found yoga in her undergraduate dance studies. It was in her professional teaching and performing that she found yoga as a place to practice mindfulness & injury prevention. In this journey she experienced firsthand not only the immense physical benefits of yoga but more profoundly how yoga created space for her to be present and connect to a deeper sense of self.

Christine is a certified yoga teacher at the 500-hour level with YogaWorks, a certified Restorative Yoga Teacher, a Reiki Master, and an Urban Zen Integrative Therapist completing clinical hours with UCLA patients in five modalities of treatment: yoga therapy (restorative poses, breath awareness, in-bed movement, and guided meditation), Reiki, essential oil therapy, nutrition and contemplative care.  She has also completed trainings and received continuing education in therapeutics, iRest Yoga Nidra and is currently pursuing a certificate in Ayurvedic Wellness coaching.

Christine teaches Slow Flow Yoga and GROOV3.

Sydney Poulin (she/her) Instructor

Sydney Poulin is 200-hour certified Vinyasa yoga teacher who believes that movement is medicine. She began exploring yoga while traveling through the South Island of New Zealand. What began as a means of exercise quickly evolved into a therapeutic, transformative practice for Sydney. After noticing how her yoga practice on the mat translated to positive habits on a greater scale, she completed her teacher training upon her return to the United States. Teaching yoga in the Bellingham community has been a continuous source of gratitude for Sydney.

Sydney emphasizes an earthly passion within her yoga practice, constantly exploring the innate symmetry between self and world. Aware of the constant metamorphosis in the universe, she intentionally guides participants to find harmony amongst inevitable change. Her personal practice has repeatedly exhibited how yoga encourages somatic and cognitive connection.

Through her methodology, Sydney seeks to integrate a triad of grounding, balancing and expanding within her asana sequences. Via attuned functional movement, she creates comprehensive yoga flows that leave students feeling nourished and empowered. By carefully curating an experience accessible to all levels of yogis, Sydney fosters a welcoming environment where participants can freely explore the layers of their body and conscience.
